The updated version of the Lada Niva Travel with a 1.8-liter engine turned out to be more profitable and economical than the model with a 1.7-liter engine. According to information from AvtoVAZ, fuel consumption on the new engine has decreased by 10%, and the cost of maintenance has decreased by 9.2%.

Tests carried out over a mileage of 60,000 km in the Moscow region showed that maintenance costs amounted to 65,170 rubles against 71,830 rubles for the old version.

Lada Niva Travel after the upgrade, in addition to the new engine, also received an improved suspension: it has a stabilizer bar, which positively affected both handling and ride smoothness, while the front stabilizer was moved closer to the front axle.

The braking system has also been updated: the front ventilated disc brakes were borrowed from LADA Vesta. Additionally, the engine cooling system and oil receiver have been optimized for reliable operation in difficult conditions with strong body inclinations.
