Since September, the number of domains dedicated to "Black Friday," which is expected in late November 2025, has increased in Russia. Digital security experts warn that at least 10% of such sites may be fraudulent.
BI.ZONE recorded 202 new domains in September and 278 since the beginning of October. For comparison, only 128 resources per month were registered from January to August. Peak activity is expected in November, when buyers are looking for выгодные offers. "At least one in ten of the new sites may be fraudulent," the company noted.
According to Evgeny Pankov, an analyst at the Coordination Center for .RU/.РФ domains, the number of phishing sites imitating large Russian online stores decreased in 2025. Nevertheless, experts warn of the need for caution: fraudsters register domains with similar names and offer fake discounts to seize money or personal data of users.
Only 1–2% of potentially fraudulent "Black Friday" websites are registered in the .ru domain zone. The reason is the relative novelty of the November sales tradition in Russia and the lower popularity of local domains among cybercriminals.
