South Korean company KGM initially planned to start producing its cars in Russia at the domestic assembly site of the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad, but it recently became known that the localization of production in Russia has been postponed to 2026.
Representatives of the brand did not name the reasons for the postponement, and it is still unknown which KGM models they plan to produce in Russia. The brand's lineup includes four models: Tivoli, Korando, Torres crossovers, and the Rexton SUV.
Currently, KGM is the only non-Chinese foreign brand that officially sells cars in Russia with warranty and service.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Korean KGM cars will begin to be assembled in Russia.
