Factory tests of drones will be completed by the end of the year

The Belarusian Design Bureau "Unmanned Helicopters" has started manufacturing 22 Sky-Truck unmanned cargo aviation complexes, developed for use with the Russian VK-650 engine. These drones will be used not only in Belarus, but also in Russia.

By the end of this year, the company plans to complete factory tests. The unmanned helicopters put into production are intended, among others, for a Russian customer.

Founder and General Designer Vladimir Chudakov reported that the team has already conducted more than 200 hours of tests on a ground stand and over 100 hours of flights with a load of up to 500 kilograms.

The machine was originally designed for the Russian VK-650 engine. Now, due to the fact that the engine has not yet completed certification, the helicopters are being tested on Rolls Royce engines.

Sky-Truck unmanned helicopters are designed for transporting cargo. For this purpose, the flying trucks are equipped with a special Airbox container under the fuselage of the aircraft.

The payload capacity of Sky-Truck is up to 600 kilograms, the flight duration is up to 5 hours, and the range is up to 480 kilometers.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Belarusian Sky-Truck unmanned truck with the AIRBOX container successfully passed its first flight tests.
