Russia Accelerates Production of Powerful GTE-110M Turbines: Rostec to Supply Five by 2028

The units will become the mainstay of the domestic energy sector and replace foreign counterparts

The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) will supply customers with two more high-capacity GTE-110M turbines by the end of 2025. From 2026 to 2028, the corporation will build and ship three more of these units.

Rostec noted that the GTE-110M has become a successful example of systematic work to achieve Russia's technological independence.

We have proven that we can create and mass-produce the most complex energy equipment, relying entirely on domestic solutions. These modern turbines will form the basis for updating Russia's energy system — from the southern regions to the Far North.

GTE-110M is the first Russian high-capacity gas turbine in the class of over 110 MW. The design uses thermal barrier coatings and cast working blades, which provides increased performance and fuel efficiency in various climatic conditions.

The first serial turbine is already operating as part of the "Udarnaya" TPP in the Krasnodar Territory. Over 6.8 thousand equivalent hours, it has shown efficiency at or above foreign analogues.
