Финляндия модернизировала гаубицу «Малютку», но сохранила решение советских инженеров

The manual breechblock of the piston type on the ML-20 gun remained the same

The Finnish army has modernized the Soviet ML-20 152 mm howitzers that are still in service. The gun has changed somewhat in appearance, but key Soviet developments have remained in place.

For example, the Finns retained the "native" manual breechblock of the piston type, characteristic of Soviet models of that time.

ML-20 is a Soviet heavy artillery gun of the Second World War period with a range of about 17 km. It combines the properties of both a gun and a howitzer, which makes it universal for conducting both indirect and direct fire. The gun was considered one of the most successful developments of its time.

Mass production was carried out from 1937 to 1946 at the Perm Plant No. 172, with a total of about 6884 units produced.

The ML-20 received the unofficial name "Little One" due to its compactness in comparison with other guns of this type and caliber.

Earlier www1.ru reported that BMD-2 with "doshirak" and anti-drone "barbecue" surprised military experts.
