Russians Continue to Buy Xcite Crossovers, Production of Which Has Already Stopped

1588 Cars Were Sold in September

In September, Russians purchased 1588 new Xcite cars, despite the fact that the production of crossovers ended almost a month ago. This data is provided by the analytical agency "ASM-Holding". In total, 9418 cars of this brand were sold on the Russian market in the first nine months of 2025.

Previously, Xcite cars were produced at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, which, after the departure of the Japanese concern, was renamed "Avtozavod St. Petersburg" and became part of the AvtoVAZ group. Production was stopped on September 18: then the general director of the enterprise, Ivan Mironov, announced the completion of the production of Xcite X-Cross 7 and X-Cross 8 models.

Both models were focused on the segment of affordable crossovers and quickly found their buyer. The X-Cross 7 was sold at a price of 1.9 million rubles, and the larger X-Cross 8 - from 2.25 million rubles, taking into account dealer discounts. After the conveyor was stopped, dealers continue to sell off the remaining warehouse stocks, and demand remains stable.

Now the plant has completely switched to assembling the new Lada Iskra model from Togliatti vehicle kits. This project is part of AvtoVAZ's strategy to restore production and expand the range of Russian-made cars.
