The first photo of the aft section of the fifth-generation Su-57 multirole fighter with the weapons bay doors open has been published online. The shot was shared by military pilot Alexei Voevoda.
The photo shows exactly how the weapons bay opens. What is inside is not known for certain.
At the same time, it is known from open sources that the Su-57 has four internal weapons bays for placing missiles and bombs, which allows the fighter to maintain low radar signature in combat.
The aircraft's internal armament consists of two main tandem bays in the fuselage. They house medium- and long-range missiles, as well as high-precision bombs.
We are talking about air-to-air missiles R-77M and R-37M, air-to-surface missiles Kh-59MK2 and Kh-69. In addition to ammunition in the compartments, a 30-mm automatic aircraft cannon is installed in the right front of the fuselage.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian attack aircraft used "drone guns" against drones for the first time.
