The US began studying the Soviet T-80UD "Berёza" tank

The combat vehicle with the "Drozd" active protection system was spotted at the Yuma Proving Ground

Footage from the Yuma Proving Ground in the USA has appeared online. Apparently, the American military has received a Soviet-made T-80UD tank for study.

The combat vehicle was introduced in 1987, it is equipped with the "Nozh" active protection system and "Drozd" dynamic protection modules.

Unlike the T-80U, the "Berёza" was equipped with 6TD diesel engines with a capacity of 1000 hp. The tank is equipped with an anti-aircraft machine gun mount with remote control.

Since 1988, the tank has received built-in "Kontakt-5" dynamic protection. The T-80UD was mass-produced at the Kharkiv Transport Engineering Plant (KhZTM). The vehicle was exported, in particular, to Pakistan.

In the summer, new full-scale footage of a mock-up of the Russian Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system (ZRPK) also circulated online. Military experts concluded that the system is designed to practice the actions of F-16 fighter pilots.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of T-90M "Proryv" tanks introduced a four-day work week for some employees.
