Flares of the penultimate power class M1.9 and M2.8 were recorded on the sun on October 13. This was reported at the Institute of Applied Geophysics (FSBI "IPG").
The first flare occurred at 08:26 Moscow time in the X-ray range in the group of spots 4246 (N24W16) and lasted 45 minutes. The second was recorded later.
At 12:19 Moscow time, a flare M2.8 lasting 36 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range in the group of spots 4246(N23W17).
Since yesterday, a weak magnetic storm has been raging on Earth. Astronomers did not predict an increase in flare activity on the Sun, but flares have resumed. Two active centers, each approximately 150 thousand km in size (more than 10 Earth diameters), were recorded on the surface of the star.
