A few days ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the appearance of a new weapon in the country. According to him, the development is already being "fine-tuned." State Duma deputy Andrei Kolesnik revealed some details about the new product.
According to him, the announced weapon will surpass the medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) "Oreshnik" in power, the range of which is estimated at 5.5 thousand km.
If they announced a new weapon, it means it will be of strategic importance. But, probably, more selective and more destructive. No one knows where it will be located. I think it will be more powerful than "Oreshnik". If Putin says so, it means it already exists.
Military experts also agreed that it could also be about the Burevestnik cruise missile equipped with a nuclear power plant. It should be noted that the Ministry of Defense has not yet published any official information on this topic.
Recall that in early November, the head of state also reported that Russia may have a new hypersonic weapon, and work in this direction has already begun.
