The Kalashnikov Concern (part of Rostec) has shipped a batch of improved 9-mm Kalashnikov submachine guns (PPK-20) to the customer. Several more large contracts for the supply of PPK-20 are expected to be fulfilled by the end of the year, the company noted.
Kalashnikov stated that the PPK-20 is currently being mass-produced and supplied to various departments of the Russian Federation, as well as for export. The production volume of the new product has increased significantly this year.
The General Director of the concern, Alan Lushnikov, recalled that in 2020 the PPK-20 was presented as a promising product, and now it is already being produced in large volumes.
We are making every effort to provide customers with products that have proven their high efficiency in a timely manner.
During the tests, the PPK-20 withstood continuous fire of three thousand shots. At the same time, the plastic forend of the weapon began to smoke by the 650th shot, and after another 1.5 thousand shots it caught fire, but continued to work.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a new UAV "Axis-25-R" was shown in Russia: two engines and a range of up to 300 km.
