Specialists from the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command Order of Zhukov have patented a design for mounting weapons on ATVs. The innovation will allow firing at both low-flying and airborne targets in any direction.
The installation of a bracket-stabilizer on a rotating platform provides vertical stabilization of the cradle when the weapon is rotated. The mounted weapon can be rotated at an angle of 360° and 50° in the vertical plane.
The key elements of the claimed design are the cradle for the weapon being used and the support base. A distinctive feature is that the crosshead supports are installed on the base.
The rotating platform includes the main and lower flanges connected by a bolted connection. The crosshead supports of the main flange and the stabilizer bracket are installed on the main flange using a bolted connection.
An important design solution is the mechanical connection of the rotating platform to the frame, which is carried out by means of metal balls installed in special cassettes.
