A Mi-2 helicopter is up for sale on an online platform for 2.3 million rubles. According to the lot description, the owner acquired the aircraft for experiments.
The advertisement, published in the "Transport and Special Equipment" category for the Krasnodar Territory, announces the sale of a helicopter located at the Novotitarovskaya-Belevtsy airfield in the Dinsky district.
The seller claims that the engines demonstrate a residual resource of 97% and 98%, and the total flight time after purchase is approximately 80 hours.
The helicopter belongs to a former employee of "Skolkovo" who has experience and knowledge in the field of programming, neurobiology, mechanics, and piloting. Until 2022, he worked on creating a neural interface for controlling aircraft with the power of thought. The decommissioned Mi-2 helicopter was purchased for testing this technology.
The owner restored it in his spare time, while simultaneously studying the basics of piloting.
It is noted that the helicopter is in working order and ready to fly, but its operation in the Krasnodar Territory is impossible: the airspace is closed for private flights, and the helicopter lacks the necessary documentation.
Mi-2 is a Soviet multi-purpose helicopter developed by the Mil Design Bureau in the early 1960s.
