Over the year the law regulating information protection has been in effect, about 160 thousand personal pages of channel owners with an audience of more than 10 thousand subscribers have been registered with Roskomnadzor. More than half of the registered channels are on "VKontakte", which is more than 86 thousand pages, the press service of Roskomnadzor (RKN) reported.
Thus, just over 30 thousand channels are on Telegram and more than 14 thousand are on YouTube.

As a reminder, the obligation for channel owners with an audience of more than 10 thousand subscribers to register for inclusion in the Roskomnadzor list came into force on November 1, 2024. This rule is established by part 1.1 of article 10.6 of the federal law of 27.07.2006 No. 149-FZ "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection".
An important condition for registering a channel with the RKN was proof of ownership of the resource by the channel owner. Real ownership of the channel is confirmed by placing a unique number received from the RAS after submitting an application on "Gosuslugi" in the social network interface.
The number is sent in accordance with the government decree through a program specially provided by the social network for automatic verification of the number and data of the channel owner by Roskomnadzor. In Telegram, this is done by a bot launched by the channel owner. This bot confirms that it is launched by the channel owner. For this, this bot must have the necessary rights, which are determined only by the social network itself. At the same time, the bot also puts the A+ marking.
