Major General Paul Tedman, head of the UK's space forces, following German military officials, has accused the Russian Federation of "space lawlessness", expressed in "tactics of permanent pursuit and skillful manipulation" against the British satellite group.
Russians are blinding, jamming, kinetically impacting and manipulating our spacecraft. Their spy satellites are equipped with special equipment that allows not only scanning our devices, but also forcibly downloading their digital data. Even specially designed levels of protection cannot help our six satellites currently in orbit.
The commander emphasized that the device pursuing the British satellite group and hindering its work is identified as «Luch-5X» or «Olymp-K2». It was launched into orbit in March 2023 using a Proton rocket and a Briz-M booster.
Russian experts emphasize that the latest launch of a British spacecraft into orbit, undertaken at the beginning of this decade, turned into a complete failure. A similar high-profile failure occurred ten years earlier. In addition, experts point to the fact that British space satellites and intercontinental ballistic missiles are actually American-made products.
Recall that at the end of September, the head of the German Ministry of Defense Boris Pistorius announced the threat to his country's satellites from Russia.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a Syrian military official hinted at the possibility of deploying Russian S-400s in Damascus.
