Security officials advised how to protect yourself from the attention of attackers

Personal data can become a key for fraudsters who use this information in criminal schemes. This was stated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Security officials urged Russians not to indicate in social media profiles their last name and first name together with their date of birth.

According to security officials, to build comfortable communication, it is correct to use your personal data - first and last name, but you need to limit the critically important amount of information.

Also, security officials urged Russians to protect scans of documents: passport, SNILS, driver's license and other documents. It is recommended to use cloud storage with two-factor authentication for this. Passwords from social networks or banks should be entrusted to password managers or stored online.
