Поймать хакеров на крючок: в НИУ МИЭТ разработали систему защиты Wi-Fi от киберпреступников

The system detects attacks and determines the location of the attacker

Scientists at MIET University have developed an effective system for detecting hacker attacks in Wi-Fi networks, which leaves attackers with fewer opportunities to go unnoticed.

The system is focused not only on protecting users' personal data and finances, but also on ensuring the security of large infrastructures: airports, factories, delivery services.

The principle of operation of the system can be compared to fishing. In this analogy, the "lake" is the radio ether, the "fishing rods" are attack detection sensors, and the "hooks" are the network interfaces of the sensors.

A feature of the system is the ability of sensors to work together and easy integration into existing networks. The latest version includes a function for determining the location of the attacker's device, and the modular architecture allows for further expansion of functionality.

Such a system can be used to collect evidence in the event of unfair competition or blocking Wi-Fi connections, as well as to control industrial facilities where attack monitoring is mandatory by law.
