At the international industrial exhibition "Innoprom. Belarus", AvtoVAZ presented the Lada Iskra sedan in a new sports modification, the Iskra Sport. The car was presented at the stand of the company's shareholder — the state corporation "Rostec".
The technical characteristics of the new sedan demonstrate its significant differences from the standard Iskra model. The length of the car has increased by 9 mm and is 4342 mm, the width by 8 mm to 1785 mm, and the height by 60 mm and is now 1577 mm. At the same time, the wheelbase remained the same — 2604 mm.
The ground clearance varies from 200 to 210 mm at the front and from 225 to 235 mm at the rear. The curb weight without a pilot is 1100 kg, and an original LADA Sport fuel tank with a volume of only 18 liters is installed inside the body.
The main thing is hidden under the hood — a modified VAZ-21126 engine with a capacity of 173 hp. Its design includes a reinforced crankshaft with an increased stroke, forged racing connecting rods, a sports intake and exhaust system, as well as an original control unit with a launch control function. At 2000 rpm, this engine develops a torque of 150 Nm, which reaches 200 Nm at its peak.
In addition, the new Lada Iskra Sport received a welded safety cage and a sports-modified interior, which includes a new racing steering wheel with a multifunctional electronics control panel and a new instrument panel with data logging.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that in Belarus they presented a new mining dump truck BelAZ-7513V, running on hydrogen.
