UAZ has released a batch of pre-production "Patriot" and "Pickup" SUVs with a modernized ZMZ Pro gasoline engine with a capacity of 149.6 hp and a torque of 235 Nm. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
The cars also received a new six-speed manual transmission. The next stage is passing certification tests.
The transmission is designed for a torque of up to 320 Nm. It provides better fuel efficiency, reduces noise and vibration, and also improves the dynamics of cars.
Due to the possibility of operating in a lower speed range, this solution has a positive effect on fuel efficiency. In addition, the transmission simplifies the selection of the optimal gear for the rhythm of movement, reduces noise and vibration levels and improves the dynamic properties of the car, positively affecting driving comfort in general.
Tests of new modifications will be carried out in various climatic conditions and on different types of roads.
The exact timing of the release of the updated "Patriot" and "Pickup" on the market has not yet been announced.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UAZ will be turned into a hybrid car.
