The Togliatti-based company "ATS-Auto" has showcased photos of the Lada Vesta CNG, equipped with a dual-fuel system. The car can run on both traditional gasoline and compressed natural gas (methane), which is designed to reduce operating costs and minimize environmental impact.
A distinctive feature of this modification is the gas cylinders installed in the trunk and the branded CNG badge. The interior features a control system for operating modes with an indication of the gas level in the cylinders. The car starts on gasoline and then automatically switches to methane.
Technically, the car is equipped with the same 1.6-liter VAZ engine, but with modifications for operation on gas equipment. Methane consumption is about 5-6 kg per 100 km, allowing you to drive up to 300 km on gas, while the gasoline tank remains available. This configuration provides potential fuel savings of up to 40% compared to the gasoline version.
