Moscow has sent New Delhi a proposal for the supply and localization of production of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters in India. This was reported by a source in the system of military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign countries.
The Indian side is currently considering this proposal.
Russia will launch serial production of the new generation AL-51F1 engine (or "Product 30") for the Su-57 fighter.
AL-51F1 is the second-stage engine. Serial Su-57s will receive the power plant. It will improve the power, fuel efficiency and stealth of the fighter.
Technical characteristics of the Su-57:
- Length — 19.7 meters.
- Wingspan — 14 meters.
- Empty aircraft weight — 18,500 kg.
- Maximum take-off weight — 35,500 kg.
- Engine — turbofan with afterburner and thrust vector control (AL-41F1).
- Maximum speed at altitude — approximately 2600 km/h.
- Flight range — 4300 km (with 100% fuel), up to 5500 km with external fuel tanks
