State Duma Vice-Speaker Boris Chernyshov proposes labeling calls made by robots. He appealed to the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadaev, with a request to develop a bill that would require the use of the prefix "neuro" before the names of voice assistants. According to the deputy's idea, this innovation should help subscribers easily identify that they are communicating not with a person, but with an automated system.
The politician emphasizes the importance of clear identification of robots in the communication process. In his opinion, this will avoid confusion when subscribers encounter names that sound like human ones. The fact is that voice assistants are presented under human names, and citizens may think that they are communicating with a live operator, although this is a program.
The Vice-Speaker believes that the proposed measure will not only protect consumer rights, but also increase awareness of interaction with AI technologies. It will also help to form ethical standards in the field of digital communications, which is extremely important in the modern world, where technologies play an increasingly important role in everyday life.
