Russian President Vladimir Putin visited an exhibition of military equipment at the "Mulino" training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region. During the inspection, he tried on "Strekoza" thermal imaging goggles designed for the military.
These are tactical goggles that protect the eyes from small fragments, but at the same time allow observation in the infrared range. There is a camera and, accordingly, a small screen that transmits information, and one eye can see it.
According to the expert, in the evening these goggles allow you to see mines in the ground, hidden not deep underground.
Thermal imaging goggles allow soldiers to move freely on the battlefield, they are equipped with electric zoom and do not impede vision. The range of the goggles is up to one kilometer. Autonomous operation up to 2.5 hours.
Earlier, www1 reported that the President of Russia was shown "Bulldog", "Kaio-T4", "Ulan-U2" and other equipment in service with the armies.
