The General Director of Kalashnikov Concern JSC, Alan Lushnikov, presented the Director of the Federal National Guard Troops Service (FSVNG), Army General Viktor Zolotov, with a new short-range anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) for territorial air defense (air defense) "Krona".
Anti-aircraft missile system designed to protect important state facilities from air attacks, as well as infrastructure facilities of cities.
Mock-ups of 9M340 and 9M333 anti-aircraft guided missiles, which are the means of destruction of the anti-aircraft missile system, were also demonstrated.
The Krona air defense system is the developers' response to the task of creating a mobile, relatively inexpensive, but universal shield capable of protecting an object from a drone, helicopter or missile at low altitude. "Krona" uses two target detection channels - radar and optoelectronic. The complex is capable of receiving external target designation from higher command posts and integrating into a multi-layered air defense system.
Earlier, www1 reported that the Director of the National Guard Zolotov tested the latest RPL-20 light machine gun from Kalashnikov
