The Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ), specializing in the production of mining equipment, has presented a new generation cabin. It was installed on the BELAZ-7513D dump truck, which is undergoing testing at the factory test site. This was reported by the company's press service.
The BELAZ-7513D with the new cabin will be sent for operation to one of the Russian open-pit mines. In 2026, BelAZ plans to launch mass production of dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 55 to 360 tons, equipped with the new generation cabin.
The design concept of the new cabin was developed based on detailed information received from more than 40 BELAZ mining dump truck drivers from different countries, including those with experience working with equipment from other manufacturers.
In total, 57 changes were implemented in the new cabin, including:
- adjustable depth pedal assembly
- the light opening of the cabin has become 15% larger
- a cooled storage box has appeared
- the seats received three-point seat belts
- a 10-inch tablet with a pre-installed intelligent monitoring system has been added to the dashboard
Igor Nateikin, an operator of a mining dump truck, stated that the new cabin has become very comfortable. He noted the modern design and improved visibility.
The seats are very comfortable, even the passenger seat – with pneumatics! Good ergonomics, many digital technologies are used.
