Belarus has begun using electric buses equipped with Russian-made batteries from the company "Autonomous Energy Systems". The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Belarusian "BCM Holding", known as "Belkommunmash". The first batches of electric buses already arrived in Minsk in August of this year.

Vitovt Max Electro 2 electric buses will be equipped with Russian battery systems. The main component of this system is the SAE-BCM kit, which includes "DZETA-523" batteries with a capacity of 428 kWh. These batteries are specifically designed to operate in Minsk's charging infrastructure, which uses a reduced operating voltage of 588 V.
The kit includes lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 61.2 kWh. Also included is the SAE-Remote remote monitoring unit, a high-voltage switching unit, and fire-retardant coatings for the modules. The Russian solution aims to optimize energy consumption and improve the efficiency of urban transport operations.
In total, the contract between BCM Holding and SAE provides for the supply of 44 sets of battery systems for Minsk electric buses.
