The nuclear-powered missile submarine cruiser of Project 955A "Emperor Alexander III", part of the Pacific Fleet, has completed a long voyage and returned to its base in Kamchatka.

The nuclear-powered strategic missile submarine "Emperor Alexander III" of the Pacific Fleet has successfully completed its combat missions in the fleet's area of responsibility and returned to its base in Kamchatka. The submarine's crew spent about three months at sea.

The press service reported that upon return, the crew was met by the commander of the Pacific Fleet's Submarine Forces, Hero of Russia Rear Admiral Valery Varfolomeev, as well as personnel from the strategic submarine division, families of servicemen, and representatives of local authorities.

Rear Admiral Varfolomeev congratulated the sailors on the successful completion of their sea mission, emphasizing their contribution to the country's defense capabilities. As part of the solemn ceremony, the submarine commander was presented with a baked piglet, and distinguished servicemen received departmental awards and epaulettes with the assignment of new military ranks.

"Emperor Alexander III" is a nuclear submarine armed with 16 Bulava ballistic missiles and is the seventh ship built under Projects 955/955A "Borei/Borei-A". Laid down in 2015 and launched in 2022, it was accepted into the Russian Navy on December 11, 2023, simultaneously with the nuclear submarine "Krasnoyarsk". President Putin participated in the flag-raising ceremony.
