In the September elections, nearly 1.5 million voters from 24 regions of Russia applied for remote electronic voting (DEG). This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the CEC, Nikolai Bulaev.
Applications to participate in DEG started on July 28 and will end on September 9. To register, you must complete an application on the vybory.gov.ru portal via "Gosuslugi". Bulaev noted that voting in some regions will take place over three days, starting on September 12, and the main election day is scheduled for September 14.
In 2025, remote voting on the federal platform is organized in Komi, North Ossetia, Chuvashia, Perm Krai, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Kaluga, Kostroma, Kurgan, Magadan, Moscow, Novgorod, Pskov, Rostov, Sverdlovsk, and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as in Sevastopol, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Karelia, Lipetsk, Samara, Smolensk, and Tomsk regions, and Udmurtia.
On the unified voting day, more than 5,000 election campaigns will be held in 81 regions of the country. Direct elections of governors will be held in 20 regions, and elections of deputies of legislative assemblies in 11. In total, about 47,000 mandates and positions will be replaced, and about 55 million people will be able to vote.
