In Veliky Novgorod, at the All-Russian gathering of combat unmanned systems operators called "Drone Race," Russian engineers presented a new interceptor drone capable of reaching speeds of up to 380 km/h. According to TASS, this information was provided by an official representative of the developers from NPO "Kaysant."
The drone was shown to the public for the first time. It can be launched from a compact tube. The maximum speed of the drone is 380 km/h, and the cruising speed is 250 km/h. It is capable of climbing to a height of up to 3 km and covering distances of up to 10 km. Currently, specialists are working on improving its onboard artificial intelligence.
AI will be responsible for data analysis, real-time decision-making, and control of the interceptor drone, which will increase its autonomy and adaptability in various conditions.
The drone is also equipped with a guidance system using machine vision, which ensures high predictability of the UAV's flight path and improves its maneuverability and stability in the air.
