The longest tram in Russia broke down in Yekaterinburg: model 71-665 has pantograph problems

The 40-meter tram stalled at an intersection in the VIZ district

The longest tram in Russia (Model 71-665 "80 Years of Victory", or "Arktur"), which was following the route at the intersection of Tatishchev and Vikulov streets (VIZ district), has been idle in Yekaterinburg for more than an hour.

According to eyewitnesses, the car's pantograph broke down. The drivers tried several times to reverse the train, but it was not possible to start it.

A source from E1.RU confirmed that the tram had technical problems with the current collector, which prevents it from entering the line.

On social networks, users write that the pantograph mount may have bent on the car.

We are talking about model 71-665, which arrived in Yekaterinburg from Ust-Katav under the name "80 Years of Victory". The five-section car, almost 40 meters long, is considered the longest tram in the country and resembles a suburban train in size.
