The Rostselmash 2405 tractor received an update in 2025. Now it is equipped with a domestic KAMAZ P6 engine with a capacity of up to 433 hp.
The KAMAZ P6 engine has a volume of 12 liters and 24 valves, with a rated power of 405 hp and a maximum of 433 hp. Its weight is about 1.2 tons, and its dimensions are 1.44 x 0.93 x 1.16 meters.
The specific fuel consumption is minimal— 230 g/kW*h, and the engine life is at least 10,000 hours. The service interval is 2000 hours, which makes it a reliable choice for farmers.
The engine meets Stage IIIA environmental requirements and is equipped with a two-stage filter with a manual priming function. This includes a pre-filter for coarse cleaning and a fine filter with fuel heating, which facilitates starting in cold weather.
Serial production of P6 engines is being launched at the Tutaev Motor Plant in the Yaroslavl Region. By the end of 2025, they plan to launch a modern assembly line.
The tractor is also equipped with a 12×4 mechanical transmission, which offers three speed ranges with smooth shifting. This provides flexibility and maximum performance in the critical range from 4.8 to 16 km/h. The simple design and reliability of the transmission allow torque to be transmitted to the wheels without slipping, which contributes to high fuel efficiency.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the most powerful tractor in Russia for agricultural work, Rostselmash 3580, was shown on video.
