Russian authorities are developing support measures for auto plant employees who have switched to a reduced work schedule, according to First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
The Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the management of enterprises, are looking for alternative employment options for workers on their days off to compensate for possible loss of income.
Manturov emphasized that the priority remains the preservation of labor collectives and qualified specialists, as well as the fulfillment of all social obligations to employees.
Earlier, several automakers, including KAMAZ, GAZ, and the Likino Bus Plant (LiAZ), announced their transition to a reduced work week.
