Kurchatov NPP has restored Unit 3 to full power operation a week ahead of schedule.
At 2:20 AM, work was completed on restoring the transformer and turbine generator No. 6, after which the power unit reached 100% capacity. Previously, on August 24, a local fire occurred as a result of a drone attack, and the unit's capacity was reduced by half due to damage to the transformer.
Currently, Units 1 and 2 are in non-generation mode, and Unit 4 is undergoing scheduled maintenance. The radiation background on the station's territory and in the surrounding area remains within natural values.
