Designers of early Sukhoi Superjet 100 models did not additionally strengthen the left door of the aircraft, and now flight attendants find it difficult to close it. This was reported by a former specialist of the International Civil Aviation Organization, aviation expert Pavel Gerasimov.
According to him, the deficiency manifests itself exclusively within the framework of regular operation — a gap forms, and the door sags, it is impossible to open it without lifting it.
The design flaw in early versions was corrected later. This problem was not noticed immediately, because the operation was not as intensive as it is now, that is, the resource of the fasteners was not exhausted. It was impossible to identify this flaw for correction earlier.
Gerasimov clarified that the shortcoming of the Russian manufacturer is typical for the whole world, since the front left door is larger than the right one. Accordingly, its frame and fasteners needed to be reinforced.
Unfortunately, this was not done when the production of Sukhoi Superjet 100 started. Therefore, the subsidence of such a door, which occurs after 15 years of operation in old aircraft, occurred here after a couple of years. But this problem only complicates the use of the liner for flight attendants, and it has nothing to do with the safety of transportation.
Earlier, the Yakovlev company, which is part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), notified Rosaviatsia about potential problems with the fuselage structure on 14 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a project of a new wide-body Russian aircraft was shown in the photo.
