Rostec Proposed Installing Serp Series EW Systems and Press Portable Complexes

The Russian government has instructed the Ministry of Health to equip major hospitals with UAV detection and countermeasure systems. Authorities have adjusted the requirements for anti-terrorism equipment in healthcare facilities in decree No. 1226.

The document states that facilities must be equipped with means of detecting drones (aerial, surface, and underwater). However, the exact amount of spending for these purposes is not specified.

Vladimir Potekhin, Development Director at Boevye Tekhnologii, suggested that this could refer to electronic warfare (EW) stations placed on the roofs of buildings. He estimates the cost of one such complex at 20 million rubles.

According to the FFOMS, in 2025, there are 338 federal medical organizations—that is, large medical centers—within the structure of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the FMBA. Considering this, equipping medical centers with EW equipment may require about 6 billion rubles.

The Rostec State Corporation has offered its developments for these purposes.
