A unique 1967 Moskvich-408 has been found in Ulyanovsk, which will amaze fans of Soviet automotive classics. The car is in perfect factory condition, with a mileage of only 36 thousand kilometers - an exceptional indicator for a car aged 58 years. The owner claims that no restoration work has been carried out since its production.
Despite age-related changes in appearance caused by prolonged exposure to the sun and rain - faded paint, scratches and chips on the body - the factory dark blue color "anthracite" is still recognizable. The owner emphasizes that the technical condition of the car is at a decent level: the clutch and brake system have recently been serviced, and the car is fully operational.
The car is equipped with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with carburetor injection, developing 50 horsepower. It is paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the drive is transmitted to the rear wheels. Although its dynamic characteristics are considered modest today, in the 1960s this car provided confident movement both in urban conditions and beyond. The Moskvich-408 became a successful model, because until the end of the 1960s, about half of the produced copies were exported.
