Russia's First Slide Bed Truck on Forland 8 Chassis Unveiled

The sliding platform allows loading vehicles weighing up to 2.7 tons

The SmartEco Special Vehicle Plant in Nizhny Novgorod has agreed on a partnership with MB Rus, the Russian exclusive distributor of Forland. Under the agreement, SmartEco will begin producing slide bed trucks built on the Forland 8 chassis.

The tow truck is designed for transporting cars and minibuses in dealerships, technical assistance and evacuation services, as well as transport companies involved in the transportation of cars.

The Forland chassis is equipped with a SmartEco lifting and sliding platform manufactured in Nizhny Novgorod, 6270 mm long and 2300 mm wide. The design allows loading vehicles weighing up to 2.7 tons, including minibuses, cars with low ground clearance and a non-functioning engine. The minimum angle of entry reduces the risk of damage during loading.

The vehicles are equipped with a 3760 cm³ diesel engine with a power of 152 hp. The maximum torque is 491 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The dimensions of the tow truck are 8700 x 2300 x 2500 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 200 liters. The sliding platform, 6270 mm long and 2300 mm wide, is made with a perforated steel flooring "lentil" 3 mm thick and a protective flange of 50 mm around the perimeter.
