Striking Spear: Lancet kamikaze drone destroys radar at a record range of over 100 km

Previously, drones were used at a distance of up to 70 km

The range of the Russian Lancet kamikaze drones has for the first time exceeded 100 kilometers, the press service of the developer and manufacturer ZALA Aero reported.

The drone successfully hit a target — an enemy radar station 101 km from the launch point. This is a record range for the Lancet family of drones — previously they were not used further than 70 km.

Characteristics of the Lancet kamikaze drone:

  • Maximum take-off weight — 12 kg
  • Body — polymer composite materials
  • Ammunition — high-explosive fragmentation, cumulative high-explosive, thermobaric
  • Maximum ammunition weight — up to 5 kg
  • Engine — electric

Thanks to thermal imagers, Lancets work effectively at night and are able to detect disguised objects.
