IKI RAS scientists warned of high solar activity

The geomagnetic situation on Earth is calm, despite almost a dozen solar flares

The Sun continues to show high flare activity, but there is a tendency towards its gradual stabilization, according to specialists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of IKI RAS.

Experts predict that today the geomagnetic situation on Earth will remain calm with possible moderate disturbances, and flare activity on the Sun will remain high, but without threats to the planet.

Over the past day, the Earth's geomagnetic field has been calm, despite 11 flares, including two strong M-class flares. Experts note that the situation remains safe for the Earth, and solar activity is gradually decreasing.
