Kaspersky Lab Introduces Commercial Version of Next-Generation Firewall

Kaspersky NGFW 1.0 Combines Software and Hardware

Kaspersky Lab has released the first commercial version of its next-generation firewall, Kaspersky NGFW 1.0. This is a hardware and software complex for protecting corporate networks, combining traffic filtering, an intrusion detection and prevention system (IDPS), inspection of encrypted connections, and antivirus protection.

The device is available in three models (KX-100, KX-400, KX-3500), with the KX-1000 to follow later.

According to the developer, Kaspersky NGFW achieves speeds of up to 180 Gbps at L4 with application control. The database includes over 7000 threat signatures, supports custom policies, filtering by domain names (FQDN), BGP and OSPF routing, and Active-Passive cluster.

Management is carried out via OSMP with support for XDR scenarios, integration with the Kaspersky ATA sandbox, and TLS inspection capabilities. When the license expires, the device continues to operate, but without database updates and access to KSN cloud services.

According to IXIA testing, NGFW detects up to 95% of attacks.
