In July 2025, the Russian car market ranked 11th in the world in terms of new passenger car sales, rising from the 15th position it held at the end of the first half of the year. This was reported by Sergey Tselikov, head of the Avtostat agency.
120,649 cars were sold in Russia. Despite the fact that sales are still 11% lower than last year, this result was a record in 2025.
In the segment of commercial vehicles, the absolute figures are also not bad. LCV - 1631 units +2.8% compared to the previous week. MCV - 204 units (-2.4%), HCV - 941 units (+22.4%).
Russia has overtaken countries such as Italy, France, Australia and Spain, but lost to Mexico. The increase in sales indicates a gradual recovery of the market, despite the general downward trends in annual terms.
