Russian aviation has begun testing a new munition in combat conditions — a type of cruise missile. The first footage of the missile fragments has been published online.
According to preliminary data, the munition is conceptually similar to the foreign Storm Shadow. Technical characteristics, such as range and carrier type, are currently unknown.
In addition to the information about the missile, alleged images of the munition fragments in question were attached.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has not officially commented on the tests of the munition, so it is difficult to judge the reliability of the data. At the same time, information about the testing of new weapons as part of the Russian Aerospace Forces appears regularly.
In particular, a few days ago, information appeared online that the crews of Su-57 fighters began to use new munitions C-71K and C-71M. The complex is a kind of hybrid of a drone and a missile, and also has high maneuverability.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the «Циркон» turned out to be impossible to combine with the Su-57 fighter.
