India intends to ask Russia to expedite the deliveries of S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs), according to India Today.
According to the source, a delegation headed by the Prime Minister's National Security Advisor of India, Ajit Doval, will arrive in Moscow.
The Indian side plans to discuss issues about accelerating the supply of the remaining S-400 air defense systems and service solutions for their maintenance, as well as the possible purchase of an additional batch of these systems.
In 2018, India agreed with Russia on the acquisition of five S-400 divisions for a total amount of $5.4 billion. Deliveries began in 2021, and since then the Russian Federation has shipped three divisions - 24 launchers and six thousand missiles for them.
The S-400 Triumf air defense system has been in service with the Russian army since 2007. The complex is capable of tracking and engaging up to ten targets simultaneously, including missiles, aircraft and large drones.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the rate of поступления Su-57 fighters into the Russian Aerospace Forces has increased.
