In recent days, an increase in fraudulent schemes related to the transportation of cars from China has been recorded in Telegram. Experts from BI.ZONE told reporters that the number of fake channels created has reached 100. In them, attackers deceive Russians by promising favorable conditions for transporting cars.
Thus, scammers offer car delivery at low prices. They claim that they can bring cars from anywhere in the world. In their advertisements, fraudsters publish photographs of cars and offer to conclude a purchase agreement.
The attackers pose as dealers and send fake documents with altered details. After receiving an advance payment with a commission, the scammers disappear, leaving the victims without money and without a car.
There is another version of the scam. In it, criminals pose as private delivery drivers. In this case, the money is transferred directly to the personal account of one of the scammers, and the victim does not receive any documents.
Specialists from BI.ZONE warn that such schemes are becoming more common, and urge citizens to be careful when making transactions over the Internet.
It is important to remember: if an offer looks too good to be true, it is most likely a scam. It is necessary to carefully check the information and avoid prepayments, especially if the transaction is carried out with unfamiliar persons.
