Beeline Business corporate division and the Chinese telecommunications giant China Telecom have entered into a cooperation agreement. The purpose of the partnership is to digitalize Chinese-made cars, including those from major players such as Changan, Avatr, and Xpeng.
The companies intend to focus on creating services for cars with network access, including multimedia, telematics, and autonomous communication. The goal is to provide drivers with direct access to online functions directly from the car.
A connected car is equipped with a SIM card during the production stage, which, after activation in accordance with the established requirements, allows interaction with applications, transmission of information (data on tire pressure, cabin temperature, etc.), and updating of software via the Internet — without a visit to the service center. Car owners will also be able to control a number of functions through a mobile application: use online navigation, listen to music, communicate on social networks, and play games
The operator has been actively developing digital solutions for the automotive industry, equipping Renault cars with SIM cards since 2019, and Nissan, Infinity, KamAZ, and AvtoVAZ cars since 2020.
