British billionaires David and Simon Reuben may become co-owners of OnlyFans. They are considering investing in a consortium worth $7 billion.
Both billionaires are known for their participation in the "aluminum wars" of the 1990s in Russia. According to the Financial Times, they are currently in talks to invest in a consortium led by The Forest Road Company, which may acquire OnlyFans. The platform's owner, Leonid Radvinsky, is considering a sale while retaining a portion of the shares. He acquired 75% of OnlyFans shares from its founders in 2018.
The controlling stake, which may be acquired by the consortium, is estimated at $7 billion. In addition to the Reubens, about a dozen other businessmen are considering participating in the consortium. However, the billionaires themselves have not yet made a final decision and may abandon the idea of investing.
Despite the fact that OnlyFans positions itself as a service with exclusive content from bloggers and celebrities, the platform also contains adult material. This may negatively affect its valuation, as financial institutions often avoid deals with such platforms for ethical reasons.
The popularity of the service continues to grow, and it currently has over 300 million users. The platform receives 20% of user payments, which
