The Lomo company (part of the Kalashnikov concern) has launched serial production of the 1PN146 night vision sight (NVS) and the 1OP84 daytime optical sight (DOS) for small arms and man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS). The test results showed that the new products fully meet the customer's requirements.
The 1PN146 sight is designed to detect targets at any time of the day. The weight of the NVS is no more than 1.55 kg. The operating temperature range is from -50 to +55°C. The transfer time from the stowed position to readiness for operation is no more than 60 seconds.
The 1OP84 sight is designed to detect targets in daylight conditions using target designation information. The weight of the sight is no more than 1 kg. The operating temperature range is from -50 to +55°C. The transfer time from the stowed position to readiness for operation is no more than 60 seconds.
The target detection range with both sights under specified conditions is at least 6 km — for an RQ-7 Shadow unmanned aerial vehicle and an ALCM cruise missile.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest R-77M missiles with a range of 190 km have entered service with Su-35S fighters.
