In the first six months of 2025, Sber earned almost 30 billion rubles thanks to the implementation of generative artificial intelligence. This was announced by Taras Skvortsov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the bank, during the presentation of financial results.
The use of generative artificial intelligence technologies in Sber's key processes contributes to the growth of operational efficiency optimization and is already showing initial results. The effect of implementing GigaChat in Sber's processes amounted to almost 30 billion rubles. Thus, the implementation of generative AI has demonstrated high economic benefits and opened up prospects for further digitalization of banking processes. We will continue to actively develop innovative technologies, ensuring effective interaction with customers and increasing the overall competitiveness of the company.
GigaChat, Sber's AI solution, is already used in customer service. It helps to select credit products, provides recommendations for improving credit history, and advises on taxes. For small businesses, a Giga-assistant was launched in the second quarter. It analyzes financial statements, identifies key indicators, and provides personalized recommendations. The assistant also helps with tax reporting, marketing strategies, and document preparation.
Sber presented an updated GigaCode 2.0 to developers. This tool supports 35 programming languages and improves code quality. According to the bank, the efficiency of the assistant has more than doubled.
