The Russian military has begun testing a new family of electronic warfare (EW) systems — the "P-Max". Development started in early 2025, the necessary tests were completed in May, and pre-production samples have already been delivered to the troops since April.
The peculiarity of "P-Max" is the modular design principle. The most compact version, "P-Max-8", consists of one module, which is automatically guided from the turret to targets detected by radar stations.
This complex is used to cover areas from small drones, including kamikaze drones. The more advanced version, P-Max-17, consists of three modules and is capable of countering kamikaze drones, but is also capable of suppressing the frequencies of "Baba Yaga" hexacopters and a number of medium-sized reconnaissance drones — "Valkyrie", "Furia" and "Leleka".
The most advanced version, "P-Max-24", consists of four modules and covers all known frequencies, including promising ones. It is a stationary complex that is used to protect the most important objects.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" with "Caliber", "Zircon" and "Onyx" missiles has completed repairs.
